Investment Opportunity
Schoongezicht is a well established game farm in the Thabazimbi area of South Africa and it focuses on the Game and Hunting industry.
George Potgieter is the sole owner of Schoongezicht and established world-class facilities for the breeding of scarce game on the property.
We offer the investor a unique opportunity to become part of one of South Africa's fastest growing industries. After the collapse of countries like Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Angola, Southern African biodiversity are under huge pressure. This phenomenon created the opportunity for South African game farmers to become leaders in ensuring the preservation of especially rare game species in Southern Africa.
THE WAY FORWARD
The investor invest by purchasing female animals only. The investor remains the owner of the initial animal.
The partnership will be on a 50:50 profit-share basis between Schoongezicht and the investor from there on but Schoongezicht will provide the following:
- All necessary breeding facilities and infra-structure
- All necessary permits and costs thereof
- Providing of high grade breeding bulls
- All feeding costs
- All veterinary expenses
- First 12 month insurance on female animals.
FACILITIES
Currently, we have a 420 ha fully electrified "camp system" which is divided into 14 different camps. The camps are constructed in a way that young bulls can be separated from breeding herds as well the handling of possible sick animals.
1007 ha is available for a Buffalo breeding project which include a passive game capturing boma. Schoongezicht is spread over 3500ha of beautiful bushveld. From August 2010 up to date R12 million was invested in the Rare Game Breeding Project.

Day/Night Camera's are installed in the breeding camps to ensure that the animals are monitored properly. Every animal are monitored individually on a daily basis by Schoongezicht management 365 day of the year.
Kudu Lodge will be open and available for all investors wishing to monitor their investment and investors who want to experience being part the operation.
Schoongezicht have its own Game transport vehicle.
PERMITS
All necessary permits for Buffalo, Sable, Roan , Rhino and Nyala has been obtained. An ecological study was concluded in 2010 by Professor Piet du Plessis, quite a familiar name in the South Africa Game Industry.

PROVIDING OF BREEDIND BULLS
Schoongezicht is responsible for the providing of top breeding bulls of species for each project and ensure the quality of breeding herds.
We currently are the proud owners of a couple of the best Roan bulls in the industry and would gladly show them to potential investors.
Our Golden Gnu bull being used in this specific project is the son of "Larry" who was the biggest Golden Gnu known to man.
Schoongezicht furthermore take pride in the fact that we recently bought a magnificent Sable bull from Thaba Tholo for the on-going Sable program
FEEDING OF ANIMALS
Schoongezicht will solely be responsible for the feeding of all the animals.
George Potgieter also owns an irrigation farm in the area where enough lusern is currently being produced. He is furthermore also a shareholder and Director of the Russel Stone group who is the majority shareholders in Agri Invest feeds in Pretoria, where top quality game feed is being produced.
Animals are fed through all seasons to ensure top condition of the animals. We believe with our current feeding program we can fully ensure every animal is in top condition in terms of:
- horn growth
- fertility
- parasite control.
VETERINARY COSTS
As mentioned in the Investment Agreement, Schoongezicht carries ALL veterinary costs which may occur.
Dr Louis Greef, well know veterinary in the game industry, is responsible for most of the veterinary work and advice in Shoongezicht's breeding programs.

The following assumptions have been made in the above calculations:
- Prices of animals will not change in the following year. (See graph below for average prices for the last 6 years).
- Reproduction is 50/50 male and female.
- Every cow should give a calf every 12 months.
In good conditions and with a good feeding program, sable- and roan cows could have a calf in intervals even as low as every 10 months.
- No provision has been made for mortalities. With good management and maintaining of our world-class facilities to keep out any natural predators, we believe that mortalities will be extremely low if any. The area is also known to be a very safe and disease free area.
Although a large increase in the price of Buffalo occurred in 2008-2009 it is interesting to note that prices are steadily increasing trough the World Economic Crises and that scares game are one of the very few investments who didn't devaluated in value.
One of the main reasons was the total collapse of Zimbabwe's wildlife. I believe that prices will increase over time or at least stay more or less the same.
